DevOps Engineer
Remote, Europe · Full-time · Salary Range 30,000-40,000 EUR
Responsibilities
- Design, evolution, and maintenance of the cloud architecture, recipes and tools needed to run Bitergia Analytics Platform.
- Deploy and operate Bitergia Analytics Platform in cloud platforms and on premises. Design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborating with the Bitergia developers and other team members to establish objectives and design and implement features to enhance the service and the user experience.
- Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new skills, and better assist other team members.
Applicant requirements
Must Have
- 4+ years of experience as DevOps and Cloud engineer
- Strong experience with Docker
- Cloud platforms knowledge, preferably GCP or Digital Ocean
- Programming skills with Python and bash and developing tests - unit, integration and smoke tests
- Experience with collaborative development tools like Git, and GitHub, or GitLab. High knowledge on GNU/Linux
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools - Ansible and Terraform
- Knowledge on open source
- Proficiency in English
- Motivation to learn new skills and technologies
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
Nice to Have
- DevOpsSec background
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch/Kibana or OpenSearch
- Good knowledge of SQL engines, preferably MySQL or MariaDB
- Technical writing experience, including blogs, tech recipes, or software documentation
- Background in open source communities
- Participation in technical communities
- Experience working with Kanban methodologies
- An outgoing, friendly personality, and a desire to meet new people
- Excellent presentation and creativity skills
