We are thrilled to be the Official Metrics Partner of Intersect
Intersect is a member-based organization for the Cardano ecosystem, working to put the community at the center of Cardano’s development.
Establishing open source best practices is an important focus for Intersect, and for this, metrics are an essential tool. That’s why, as metrics partners, Bitergia is providing dashboards and insights. We’re helping Intersect to better embrace transparency and to gain insight into the processes of its projects. With the data we provide, Intersect can efficiently direct its efforts to support the community.
The metrics dashboards for Cardano projects are up and running. And we’re seeing some promising results for the sustainability of their communities.
Here are three highlights from the data:
1. The contributor base is diversifying.
We’re seeing that more companies than in the past are joining and becoming active in the ecosystem. So, as the user base and contributor base is expanding, so are the contributions to the project.
2. We’re seeing that Input Output (IOHK), the company that put a lot of work into Cardano at its kickoff, is continuing with a high level of engagement.
Not just that, but they’ve shifted from mostly working on the code to being more involved in conversations and issues. This is the kind of data we like to see, as this type of activity helps to create an engaging, welcoming environment for the project. It’s the type of environment that attracts community members.
3. There’s an increase in transparency.
Intersect has done a fantastic job of creating a structure for the governance to be transparent. Transparency is the result of deliberately moving decision making into the public and engaging the community openly.
We can measure the engagement and it looks promising! Our analysis shows that that engagement is growing across the board. We’re seeing that community engagement is not just being encouraged, but that the endeavors are actually working in growing the community.
We're looking forward to more insights
One area we’re particularly excited about is the Member Services that Intersect will be offering to its members. Bitergia will be involved in all metrics-related inquiries, providing our metrics services to a much larger audience.
We’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds for the Cardano ecosystem, and for our metrics partnership with Intersect.
